WIngsuit from Aiguille de l'M (Pointe Albert to be exact)
Yesterday was another bad day for Wingsuit in Chamonix with one more fatalities in the afternoon in Brévent.
But the day started smoothly and I went with Freddy Drum'n Gong to Pointe Albert which is the right part of Aiguille de l'M, named in honor of the king of Belgium (and mountaineer).
This jump was opened few weeks back by Roch Malnuit and a friend of him.
With a narrow weather window, this jump is perfect as you can get to the top in less than 3 hours.
Here is a little photo series, showing I hope a less known part of this sport which is the moment before a jump. Focus, concentration, watch and rewatch any details etc. Basejumping (and wingsuit) are serious sport where a small mistake or overconfidence may be fatal.
But meanwhile it is the most fantastic sport where you get as close as humanly possible of flying. Imagine you are at the top of the mountain and less than 2 minutes later you are on the valley floor...
